I was totally skeptical when he made that announcement and considering here it is four months later and Daisy's restoration still isn't complete, my skepticism was justified!
However, I'm here to tell you, as of today, the END really is in sight!
Roger got to a point in Daisy's restoration where he thought he could finish working on her in our garage. It was great having our friend's big, nice shop to use over the past year, but it is also nice to be able to walk out into our garage at any time of day and see the fruit of our labor.
There are still a couple of big steps to finish. Later this week, Daisy has an appointment to get her muffler installed. When that's complete she has to go back to the body shop in Abilene for a few minor adjustments and some pin striping.
But Roger is just about to get everything done that he needs to do to her. Over the weekend, he worked on Daisy's brakes.
After he got her brakes set, we gave her a much needed bath. (Whitewalls by Joy!)
She looked so much better after her bath that Roger decided to go ahead and put a coat of wax on her!
Now she is so bright and shiny we practically have to wear shades to look at her!
Sha-zam! Is that Model A saying "let's roll" or what?
